Official poker is a set of rules that are used in most live and online games. They are maintained by the professional Tournament Directors Association (also known as the Poker TDA). These rules are reviewed every two years and standardized by members of the association.

The game of poker is a popular card game that dates back to the early 19th century. It has been adapted to many forms over the centuries and is played throughout the world.

Poker is a gambling game in which players try to make the best five-card hand using two hole cards and any five community cards in the deck. The player with the best hand wins the pot.

There are several different forms of poker, each with their own rules and regulations. However, there are a few universal rules that all forms follow.

1. Acting Out of Turn – When a player acts out of turn, they are penalized by being unable to call or raise until their actual turn comes into play.

2. Exposed Cards – Any cards that are shown to other players, or are dealt off the table by the dealer, are considered exposed cards.

3. Peeking at Other Players – While this isn’t necessarily against the rules, it’s a good idea to watch your back when others peek at your cards.

4. Ghosting – When you play with another person’s account and they pose as you, this is a serious rule violation.
