DraftKings and the Official Betting Result

Uncategorized Feb 14, 2024

Whether you’re placing your bets on football, baseball, hockey, basketball or any other sport, the official result is always the final one. This includes the podium position in motor races, medal ceremonies in athletics and any other official ceremony or presentation that takes place.

When it comes to betting on sports, you have a variety of different markets to choose from and it’s important to understand how they work. For starters, you’ll want to know when your bet becomes official, what procedural policies most sportsbooks follow and standard terms and conditions for bets.

The Official Result

All bets are settled based on the official result as posted by the NFL, NCAA or other official governing body for the game. This includes overtime scores. If a game is postponed, all bets are voided unless the match is replayed and played within 24 hours of the original start time. This also applies to outright and tournament winner markets, such as first goalscorer or quarter/half-time bets.

It is against DraftKings rules to bet on a game or event in which an Authorized Account Holder, members of their household, or friends have a stake. This is known as “influence betting.” It’s also illegal to give inside information on a WBSC competition that you have a direct involvement with (such as a player or team). This includes any member of your own club or a friend who plays for another club. It also includes any team staff or officials who have a role in the organizing or promotion of a WBSC competition.
